Autonomous welding robot uses for automation of vessel manufacturing in the double bottom block of ship.

2. Autonomous Welding Robot

Autonomous welding robot actuated by 12 servomotors was developed in 2006. This machine consists of a mobile platform which freely moves on T shape Longi. In double bottom block and a weloing unit which is a 6 axis Cartesian-coordinated manipulator. This is a industry-academic cooperation project.
